Georgetown County ordinances applying to the beaches include:

No glass containers of any kind allowed.
Dogs must be on a leash between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
No motorized vehicles are allowed on a beach in Georgetown County except for emergency personnel and law enforcement
No fireworks are allowed in county authorized Fireworks Free Zones.
No litter. Umbrellas, chairs, coolers and tents will not be left on beaches.

Georgetown County regulations applying to golf carts on public roads include:
Drivers must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid driver's license and liability insurance.
Drive only during daylight hours.
Drive only within four miles of the address on the registration certifi9cate and only on a road that is a non-primary highway with a posted speed of 35 miles per hour or less. Note U.S. Highway 17 Business and U.S. Highway 17 Bypass are both primary roads.
Do not drive on a public bike path or beach in Georgetown County.
