Citizen's Academy begins March 5

Sheriff Carter Weaver invites you to the annual Citizen's Academy, a chance to get hands-on learning about the many jobs in law enforcement. The academy will be held Tuesday nights, March 5 - 26, from 6 - 8 pm at the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office Headquarters, 430 North Fraser Street, Georgetown.
Come try your hand at elements of patrol, criminal law, investigations, forensics, vice and narcotics, traffic enforcement, the K-9 unit, and so much more! One of the most important resources of our agency is community involvement. It is the goal of the Sheriff to partner with all communities to identify problems, develop solutions and reduce crime. This academy will help us reach this goal, will help our office provide effective and efficient services to all citizens of Georgetown County and will make our neighborhoods a safer place to live.
