Come work for the Sheriff's Office as the face of the agency for the visiting public! This full-time job is 8 am - 5 pm five days a week and has full benefits, vacation and sick leave. Starting salary is $28,996 with a 5-year merit increase and (usual) cost of living increases annually.

General Statement of the Job

Under general supervision, performs various clerical duties for the Sheriff's Department such as entering court papers and typing affidavits, preparing monthly reports, answering incoming calls, typing, maintaining records, receiving and disbursing monies, providing assistance to the public, etc. Exercises judgment and discretion in applying established policies and procedures. Reports to the Administrative Supervisor.

Minimum Training and Experience

High school graduate with vocational/technical school training in clerical/secretarial skills and three to five years of clerical experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
